Bookkeepers, business coaches, consultants and other advisors see small businesses at their busiest. A website comes up as a loose end, and you are not in a position to build it. Sending clients to someone you trust saves you the awkward question of who to recommend.
It also protects your own reputation. When a client follows your suggestion, how that project goes reflects on you, so it is worth knowing exactly what they will experience before you send anyone.
How a referral works
Referral partners are inquiry only. You complete a short form, and we call to talk through how referrals would work, what clients would experience and how we communicate with you along the way. Everything about terms is discussed on that conversation, not published on this page.
We do not list commission figures or partner rates on the site. Some advisors want a simple introduction with no ongoing involvement, and others like to stay in the loop. We can talk about which suits you.
Who tends to refer
- ✓Bookkeepers and accountants — clients who need a basic presence
- ✓Business coaches — owners starting something new
- ✓Consultants — clients with an old site to replace
- ✓Local organizations — members who ask for a recommendation
Moments when a referral comes up naturally
You do not need to pitch websites. The opening tends to appear on its own. A coaching client finishes a pricing exercise and says nobody can find the new services online. A bookkeeping client mentions that their old designer stopped answering and the site still shows a closed location. A new LLC owner asks what to do now that the paperwork is filed.
In each case, a short line works: "I send clients who need a site to a team that writes the copy and handles hosting. Want me to introduce you?" That keeps you helpful without making you responsible for the build.
What to tell a client before you introduce us
- ✓We start with a consultation — so they should expect questions about their customers
- ✓We write the copy — they do not need finished text
- ✓Their domain stays theirs — nothing is registered in our name
- ✓They gather a few items — logo, photos and a list of services
What your client experiences
A client reaches us through the same contact path as everyone else. We start with a consultation, write the copy and design a mobile-friendly site. They approve it, and their domain stays theirs. Managed hosting, backups and small edits are part of the ongoing care.
We keep client details to ourselves and do not use a referral to list your clients anywhere. You can describe the service in your own words.
When not to refer someone to us
Honest referrals include knowing when to send a client elsewhere. If the business needs customer logins, a custom ordering system, a membership area or a large online store with complex inventory, we are not the right build. The same goes for a client who wants promised search positions. Telling them that early keeps your advice credible.

What to expect, honestly
- ✓Inquiry only — terms are discussed by call
