Start with the tool that matches where you are
These tools are for small business owners at four different moments: working out what a website should cost, getting ready to build and launch one, checking a site that already exists, and setting up the files that help search engines and AI tools read it. Each one runs in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to us unless you decide to send it.
Starting from nothing? Plan your pages first, then fill in the brief. Already live? A grader shows what to fix first. Is a site changing hands? Open the handover checklist before anyone touches a setting. Working on search? Start with the robots.txt checker, then the schema generator.
Pick a tool
Planning and pricing
Website cost calculator
Choose how many pages you need and tick any extras, and the calculator shows which plan fits and what it costs, one-time and monthly. Use it when you want a clear number before you speak to anyone.
Package recommender
Five short questions about your business and the site you have in mind lead to a suggested website package, care plan and optional SEO plan, each with its published price. It suits owners who know their situation but not the plan names.
Website cost comparison
Pick a site size and compare a first year with a DIY builder, a freelancer, an agency and a done-for-you package. Outside figures come from published ranges, and the sources are listed on the page so you can check them.
Plan your website
Answer five short sections and get a suggested page map, the content you already have and still need, the features that need scoping, and timing notes. It is the natural first step when you are unsure which pages to have.
Building and launching
Website brief generator
Turn what you know about your business into a one-page brief: your customers, services and area, the first thing visitors should do, and the sites you admire. Copy, download or print it to send with your order.
Website launch checklist
Made for an owner about to go live with a new site. It runs from decisions two weeks out, through the final review and launch day, to the habits worth keeping in the first month once real customers arrive.
Website handover checklist
Made for anyone taking over or receiving a site. It lists what should end up in your own name: the domain and DNS records, hosting and backups, admin sign-ins, email routing, form destinations, analytics and ownership records.
Checking a site you already have
Website grader
Tick the 20 basics your current site covers, from loading well on a phone to having service and area pages, and get a score out of 100 with a fix list in the order we would tackle it.
Homepage grader
Tick 12 things a homepage should do, such as saying plainly what you do and where, and see a score plus the areas that need attention. It takes a minute, so it is worth running before and after a redesign.
SEO page planner
Enter your services, the places you serve and the questions customers ask, and the planner counts the pages that would answer them, then shows how long each Monthly SEO plan would take to cover that list.
AI visibility check
Answer 12 questions about your website and wider online presence to get a readiness score, plus the areas that may make it harder for assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity to describe your business accurately.
Mobile website checklist
Twenty-three checks you run on your own phone, grouped into tap targets, text, menus, forms, speed basics, calls and booking, and images. Your ticks are saved in this browser, and the open items copy into a short list for whoever looks after your site.
Search and AI setup
Schema generator
Fill in a short form with your business name, type, address, hours and profile links, and get LocalBusiness or Organization JSON-LD to copy into your site. It checks required fields as you type and explains when a local business type is the honest choice.
Search result preview
Type a page title, meta description and address to see a plain search result preview on desktop or mobile, with character counts, approximate pixel widths and a warning when the end of your text is likely to be cut off.
llms.txt generator
Describe your business in one sentence, list services and key pages, and copy or download a clean llms.txt file. It flags promotional wording, because the file works best as a factual index; it is optional and does not guarantee mentions by AI tools.
Robots.txt and sitemap checker
Paste your robots.txt and, if you like, your sitemap XML. The checker shows whether Googlebot, Bingbot and four AI crawlers are allowed at the root of your site, lists your sitemap lines and flags syntax problems, incomplete addresses and oversized sitemaps.
