IT support companies keep networks, laptops and email in order. Then a client asks whether you can also fix the website, and you realize that is a different skill set and a different kind of support. Turning it down hands the request to someone else. Taking it on pulls your technicians away from tickets.
What fulfillment looks like
You keep the relationship; we do the website work. You pass along what the client needs, and we write the copy, design the pages, build and host the site. You can be the point of contact, or we can speak with the client directly if you prefer.
It starts with a short inquiry form and a call. We do not publish partner rates here, and the conversation covers how projects are handed over and who handles what.
Where your clients would need it
- ✓A new business setting up systems — the site is a missing piece
- ✓An old site that is slow or broken — needs a rebuild
- ✓Domain and email questions — you already understand these
- ✓A hacked or abandoned site — they need a clean start
Where you add value
You know where their domain is registered, how email is set up and who has the passwords. That knowledge shortens a rebuild and avoids mistakes during a move. We handle design, writing and the page build, and we use the information you supply about DNS and mailboxes.
The site runs on our managed hosting with backups and HTTPS, and ongoing care covers small edits.
Cutover day without breaking email
The riskiest moment in a website move is the DNS change, and it is usually email that suffers, not the site. A careless switch of nameservers can drop the MX records, or the records that let mail pass spam checks, and suddenly the office stops receiving messages.
The safer path is to change only the records the website needs, after copying down the full existing zone. We send you the exact records to add or edit and the time we plan to switch. You or the client make the change, then we confirm the new site is answering before anyone closes the ticket.
Records to export before any change
- ✓MX records — where the client’s mail is delivered
- ✓SPF, DKIM and DMARC entries — the text records that keep mail out of spam folders
- ✓Verification records — entries added by office suites or other services
- ✓Existing A and CNAME records — including subdomains for other tools
- ✓Current TTL values — so you know how long old answers may linger
Sorting out the abandoned site
Some of the requests you get will be sites nobody owns anymore: a former employee built it, the hosting card expired, or the builder account is under a personal address. We do not edit inside those old platforms. We rebuild the site on our hosting from what can be gathered, such as the live pages, saved copy and photos, and the domain stays registered to the client.
If the site has been compromised, we start clean rather than trying to patch it. We cannot promise to recover old files or data, so any backups you hold are worth sending.
Items to discuss on the call
- ✓Domain and DNS handling — who makes changes
- ✓Email continuity — mailboxes must keep working
- ✓Support split — what you handle, what we handle
- ✓Client communication — through you or direct
What to expect, honestly
- ✓Inquiry only — terms are not posted here
- ✓We do not manage networks or devices — only the website
- ✓We never promise data recovery — we rebuild from what exists
One example of what your site could look like
This is one sample we designed. Yours is built around your business, your photos and your words, and we have more examples if you want to compare directions.
How it works
1. Consultation
We learn your services, customers and goals, in English or Spanish.
2. We write and design
We draft the words and build the site around your business.
3. 10 revision rounds
You review and request changes until it is right.
4. Launch and care
We launch, then Website Care keeps it hosted, backed up, checked weekly and A/B tested.
