Between noon and one, a sandwich shop sells a large part of its day. Customers are on a break, standing outside, deciding fast. If your site takes longer to load than the line takes to move, they will walk past. The job here is speed: a menu that scans quickly and a link that gets an order in before they arrive.
Build-your-own needs structure
Many shops let customers choose a bread, a protein, cheese, toppings and a sauce. Written as one long paragraph, that is confusing. We lay it out in steps with the choices in short lists, so a customer can decide in the order they would at the counter.
Your signature sandwiches come first, with a short description and a photo. The build-your-own section follows. Orders go through the tool you already use, and we link to it from both sections.
Details that make ordering faster
- ✓A pickup time note — how long an order usually takes
- ✓Bread and gluten notes — only what you actually offer
- ✓Sides and drinks — grouped under the sandwich section
- ✓Daily soups or specials — updated at the top
Box lunches and office orders
A department head who orders lunch for fifteen wants a list of options, a price range structure and a lead time. We build a separate box lunch page with those details and a simple request form that asks for date, headcount, dietary needs and pickup or delivery.
Because this is a larger order, we keep it separate from the regular order link. You confirm the details before it is final, and any ordering provider fees are theirs.
Bring us these
- ✓Your menu as text — with sandwich names and what goes in them
- ✓Your box lunch options — what is in a box and any minimums
- ✓Lead time for large orders — usually a day
- ✓Your order link and pickup instructions — where to park and where to stand
What to expect, honestly
- ✓We do not process orders — your own ordering tool does
- ✓We do not sync with your register — daily specials are updated separately
- ✓We do not run delivery — you or a provider handle that
