In February, a client walks in with a shoebox. Half of the visit is spent asking for the document that was not in it. If the same client could have read, in Spanish, exactly what to bring before the appointment, you would both save an hour. A bilingual checklist is the most useful single page a tax office can publish.
Build the checklist page first
Start from your intake sheet. We turn it into a clear page in both languages with groups such as income documents, family information, deductions and business records. Each item has a short note on what it looks like, because many clients do not know what a form is called.
The page can end with a button to download a printable version if you give us the file.
Document groups that clients recognize
- ✓Wages and income forms — from each employer or payer
- ✓Identification and dependents — for everyone on the return
- ✓Business income and expenses — for self-employed clients
- ✓Prior-year return — if you have not prepared it before
- ✓Bank details for refunds — if the client wants direct deposit
Services written for the person reading
The services page names what you prepare: personal returns, small business returns, prior-year filings, amended returns, ITIN applications where you offer them. We stay descriptive and leave out statements about outcomes or refund amounts.
Which Spanish phrase fits matters. Clients might say declaración de impuestos, planilla or taxes. We ask who your clients are and write to them.
The booking path in two languages
- ✓Language switcher on every page — one tap to change
- ✓Booking form in each language — same fields, same confirmation
- ✓Preferred appointment type — in person, drop-off or remote, as you offer
- ✓Document upload note — how clients should send papers, set by you
- ✓Hours around the rush
Plan the season
January through April is the rush, with extension season stretching into October. Build the pages in December, and change the banner to a late-season note in the spring.
What to expect, honestly
- ✓No tax advice on the site — we describe services and documents only
- ✓No secure document exchange — sensitive files go through the method you already use
- ✓Spanish copy is reviewed by you — please read it before launch
