The daughter searching at midnight may read English easily. Her mother, whose care you will provide, may feel more at ease in Spanish and will want to understand what the caregiver does in her home. A site in both languages treats the decision as a family one, and it shows respect before anyone has spoken to you.
Which pages exist in both languages
We mirror the pages families actually read: home, services, how we start, for families and contact. That is five pages in English and five in Spanish, well inside Business Plus. Pages that change often, such as a blog or news, can stay in one language until you are ready.
A language switcher sits at the top of every page and remembers the choice, so a Spanish reader does not fall back to English halfway through a form.
What the services page should state clearly
- ✓Non-medical care only — companionship, meals, light housekeeping, errands, reminders
- ✓What caregivers do not do — medical tasks are outside your service
- ✓Hours and visit lengths — as you offer them
- ✓Service area — towns or counties you cover
- ✓How caregivers are selected — your own process, described honestly
Who reviews the Spanish
We write the Spanish directly, in plain neutral language, from the same facts as the English. We then ask one person who is comfortable in both languages to read it before launch, ideally someone on your staff who speaks to families. Care terms vary by region, and a staff member will catch the word your clients actually use.
Anything about your policies or what you do is yours to confirm in both versions.
How the contact path works in both languages
- ✓One short form per language — same fields, labeled in each
- ✓Language preference field — so the right person replies
- ✓Reply expectations — stated on the page in both languages
- ✓Staff who speak Spanish — say so only if it is true
First-assessment steps
The how we start page is where a worried family needs the most reassurance. It lists what happens between the first message and the first visit, in order, in each language. Keep each step to one sentence.
What to expect, honestly
- ✓Spanish text is reviewed by you — we are not a formal translation service
- ✓No medical or care advice — we describe services, we do not advise on health
- ✓Two languages only — other languages are a separate project
