A diagnostic imaging center site launches smoothly when each scan description and preparation note has already been reviewed by your clinical staff. Patients look for how to prepare and where to go, and referring offices look for how orders reach you. The site is informational only, so approval of wording is the main step.
How the launch unfolds
Day 1-2: You send the scan list, preparation notes and referral steps, and we plan separate paths for patients and for offices.
Week 1: We draft the scans, preparation and referral pages, and your clinical lead reviews every sentence and marks changes.
Week 2: We connect scheduling links and a basic contact form that avoids health questions, then test the paths on a phone.
Launch: We recheck addresses and hours, publish and verify the links; a 48-hour launch is possible for eligible projects with content ready.
What to gather before you start
- ✓Scan list in plain language — MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray and other studies with a one or two line description of what each involves
- ✓Reviewed preparation notes — Fasting, clothing, medications and arrival timing written by your clinicians and approved before publication
- ✓Referral instructions — How an ordering office sends a request, what it should include and who confirms receipt
- ✓Scheduling route — The tool or number your staff uses; the site links to it and collects no clinical details
- ✓Facility and parking information — Entrances, accessibility notes and a photo of the waiting area to ease first-visit nerves
The first month after launch
In the first month, set a calendar reminder for your clinicians to re-read preparation notes whenever a protocol changes, and make sure the hours and holiday closures are current. Add facility photos with staff consent only. Check that the referral instructions still match how orders arrive, and keep all wording informational with no outcome promises.
Mistakes to avoid at launch
- ✓Publishing preparation steps that have not been reviewed — Outdated instructions cause rescheduled appointments and real frustration for patients
- ✓Mixing patient and referrer information on one page — Each audience hunts through the other’s content and may miss what they need
- ✓Putting clinical questions in the contact form — Sensitive details arrive through an unprotected channel and staff must clean up
