Choose the one that sounds like you
How we wrote these comparisons
Each comparison sets a do-it-yourself builder, a freelancer or an agency next to the way we work. We describe what each option is good at as well as where it costs you time, so you can choose the one that fits how you run your business.
We avoid made-up numbers. Where a price matters, we point you to the provider’s own pricing page, because those plans change often.
Questions worth asking any provider
Who owns the domain, and whose name is it registered in? What happens to the site if you stop paying? Who writes the words, and how many rounds of changes are included? Who handles backups and security updates, and how fast are small edits made?
If an option gives you clear answers to those questions in writing, it is worth a serious look, whether or not it is us.
When we are not the right fit
If you want to design every page yourself and enjoy tinkering, a site builder may suit you better. If you need a large custom web application, a development agency is the right call. We are built for owners who want a professional site done for them, kept running, and priced plainly.
What it costs
Websites are priced one-time by size, plus Website Care at $30/month for hosting, HTTPS, backups, weekly checks and A/B testing. Every package includes a consultation, mobile-friendly design, copy we write for you, a contact form, essential search setup and 10 revision rounds.
Optional add-ons, billed separately
The prices above are for your website. These two are separate monthly products you can add now or later. Neither is part of the website price.
Monthly SEO, from $50/month: new pages published on your site every month. See Monthly SEO →
Business Spotlight, from $30/month: articles about your business, labeled as paid, published on The Company Chronicle. See Business Spotlight →
