The pages we build for a nonprofit website
Every site is built around how donors, volunteers and the people you serve actually choose a nonprofit. A typical build includes:
- ✓Home page with donate button
- ✓About and mission
- ✓Programs
- ✓Volunteer sign-up
- ✓Events and news
Need more pages for every service or town you cover? Larger packages give you room to grow.
See a sample we designed
Here is our nonprofit sample, Larkspur Table Community Pantry, with giving, volunteer sign-up, events and a transparency page. Yours is designed around your mission, your photos and your words.
The package most nonprofits start with
Most nonprofits fit Launch Website: $399 one-time for up to 5 pages, plus Website Care at $30/month. Every package includes a consultation, mobile-friendly design, copy we write for you, a contact form, essential search setup and 10 revision rounds.
Optional add-ons, billed separately
The prices above are for your website. These two are separate monthly products you can add now or later. Neither is part of the website price.
Monthly SEO, from $50/month: new pages published on your site every month. See Monthly SEO →
Business Spotlight, from $30/month: articles about your business, labeled as paid, published on The Company Chronicle. See Business Spotlight →
What the nonprofit site includes, and what your platforms handle
- ✓Donate button — Placed on every page and linked to the donation platform you already use, such as Givebutter, Donorbox or PayPal Giving; that account, its fees and donor records belong to the organization.
- ✓Volunteer sign-up form — Collects name, availability and interests, or links to the volunteer scheduler you already use, like SignUpGenius.
- ✓Programs and impact pages — What you do, who you serve and real stories shared with permission, with no invented figures.
- ✓Transparency page — Your mission, board members, and links to annual reports or public filings that you choose to publish.
- ✓Custom-scoped items — Member directories, ticketed galas with seating charts or grant application systems are scoped separately.
What the organization pays for, and what platforms charge
The nonprofit pays a single build price for its plan, covering design, copy, program pages and the volunteer form. Website Care runs $30/month for hosting, HTTPS, backups and weekly checks, with small edits each month to post events or refresh the board list.
Donation platforms charge their own processing or platform fees, and some let donors cover them; that's a setting in your platform, not ours. Volunteer schedulers, newsletters and domain renewal are billed separately.
How we build with your staff and board
- Mission call: Your director or communications lead walks us through programs and audiences.
- Stories and photos: Photos with permission from those pictured, plus stories you're comfortable sharing.
- Leadership review: The person you designate approves our draft.
- Launch in the organization's name: After revisions we publish, with the domain and accounts held by the nonprofit, not a volunteer.
Nonprofit leaders ask
Do donation fees go through you?
No. Your donation platform charges its own fees directly, and the money goes to your organization's account. We only add the button and embed, and we never handle donor payment information or donor records.
Can we post our 990 and annual report?
Yes. A transparency page can link to your public filings and annual reports, which many donors look for before giving. You decide what to share, and we never summarize financial figures beyond what you approve.
Our board changes every year. Can we update it easily?
Yes. Send us the new list and we update it within Website Care's monthly edit time. The site stays in the organization's name, so changes in leadership never cut off access.
Can volunteers sign up for specific shifts?
If you use a scheduler like SignUpGenius, we link or embed it so volunteers choose shifts there. A simple interest form on the site works too if you'd rather coordinate shifts by phone or email.
How it works
1. Consultation
We learn your programs, the people you serve and your goals, in English or Spanish.
2. We write and design
We draft the words and build the site around your business.
3. 10 revision rounds
You review and request changes until it is right.
4. Launch and care
We launch, then Website Care keeps it hosted, backed up, checked weekly and A/B tested.
Proof from our own websites
We build and grow our own websites first. Across them, monthly Google impressions grew from 2,109 in March 2026 to 77,354 in September. See the results →
