Contractors

Website design for contractors

A site that gets you quote requests: your trades, your service area, your past work and a form that reaches your phone — in as little as 48 hours.

Why this matters for your business

Most contracting work still comes from search and referral. When someone gets your name, the first thing they do is look you up. A missing or dated site costs you the job before you have spoken.

We build around the two things that decide it: proof you have done this work before, and an easy way to ask for a quote.

Your trades, spelled out

Each service on its own section so people know you do the exact job they need.

Your service area

The towns and counties you cover, so you stop fielding calls from three hours away.

Proof of past work

Photos of completed jobs, licence and insurance details if you want them shown.

Quote requests that reach you

A form tested end to end, so enquiries hit your inbox and not a void.

Three simple steps

1. Tell us what you need. A short intake, about fifteen minutes — your services, your customers, how people find you now.

2. We design, write and build. Draft copy, page design, build and testing on real devices. You are not handed a page builder.

3. You review, we revise, then launch. 10 defined revision rounds. You say what is wrong, it gets fixed, it goes live.

Who this is for

We build sites for general contractors, builders, roofers, plumbers, electricians, HVAC, landscapers, concrete and remodelers. If you are somewhere adjacent to that list, the process is the same — tell us what you do and we will build around it.

What we do not do

We do not build custom web apps, full ecommerce catalogs, marketplaces or complex booking systems from scratch. We build high-quality marketing websites that look professional, load fast and are set up for search from day one. If you need a full online store with hundreds of products, say so at intake and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.

The pages a contracting company usually needs

  • ✓Home — Names what you build or fix and the counties you work in, with the estimate request one tap away.
  • ✓Services — A section each for additions, kitchens, decks or concrete, so homeowners see their project named.
  • ✓Project gallery — Before-and-after sets grouped by job type.
  • ✓Service area — Lists the towns you drive to and the ones you skip, which filters out estimates you would never take.
  • ✓About and credentials — Years in business, crew size and any license details you choose to show.
  • ✓Estimate request — Asks for project type, rough timeline and address so you can decide whether a site visit is worth it.

Where a contractor build starts and stops

  • ✓Estimate form with photo upload — Included; homeowners attach a few pictures so you can size up the job first.
  • ✓Scheduling or CRM tool — Connected; if you run estimates through Jobber, Housecall Pro or similar, we link its request page and that account stays yours.
  • ✓Financing offers — Connected only as a link to a lender program you already have; we describe it as you word it.
  • ✓Bid calculators or subcontractor sign-ins — Custom; these need their own scope conversation before anything is quoted.

How a contractor site is priced

You pay once for the build, priced by how many pages you need: a small crew with three services fits a smaller plan than a builder with a page per trade and county. Copy, design and the estimate form come with every size.

After launch, Website Care is $30/month and covers hosting, HTTPS, backups, weekly checks and up to 30 minutes of small edits each month, enough to swap in new project photos. Your domain and any job-management software stay on their own bills.

From first notes to a live contractor site

  1. Job list: You tell us the work you want more of and the work you would rather turn down.
  2. Photo round-up: You send job photos straight off your phone; we sort, crop and compress them.
  3. Drafting: We write each service section and the area page from your notes, not a template.
  4. Walkthrough: You review on your own phone, mark changes, and we work through the revision rounds.
  5. Go-live check: We submit a test estimate and confirm it lands where you read it before launch.

What contractors ask before they sign

I'm on job sites all day. How much of my time does this take?

Less than you might expect. An intake conversation, a batch of photos and a couple of review sessions on your phone cover it. We draft everything else, so you are not writing copy at night.

Can the site show residential and commercial work separately?

Yes. If you do both, we can split them into their own sections with their own photos and wording, since a property manager and a homeowner care about different things. One estimate form can ask which side the request belongs to.

What happens to my old site and domain?

Your domain stays registered to you. If an older site exists, we rebuild its useful content on our managed hosting and point the domain over at launch. We can't promise to recover anything from a site we cannot access.

Will you post my license number for me?

Only if you give it to us and want it shown. We publish exactly what you supply, and we leave it to you to confirm the number and status are current with your licensing board before launch.

Ready when you are

Tell us about your business. About thirty seconds, no cost, no obligation.

Common questions

I get all my work from referrals. Do I need a website?

Referrals still look you up before they call. A clean site turns a referral into a booked job; no site at all makes a referral hesitate.

Can you show my licence and insurance?

Yes. For trades where that decides the enquiry, we put it where people can see it.

What if I do not have photos of my work?

We build without them and you can add them later. Even a handful of job photos helps, including phone photos.

Can I list the areas I cover?

Yes, and we structure it so you show up for searches in those areas.

How fast can it be live?

As little as 48 hours when the scope is clear.
