Dirt
questions.

Do I need a survey before grading?

For most new builds, yes. A survey and grading plan tell us exactly where the pad, slopes and drainage need to be. We can work with your surveyor.

Can you fit in a small backyard?

Usually. Compact excavators and track loaders get through a standard gate and keep lawn damage to a minimum.

Who handles the utility locates?

We place the locate request and wait for marks before digging. Private lines like irrigation or septic we'll ask you to point out.

Do you haul away the dirt?

Yes. We haul off spoil and debris, and bring in fill, gravel or topsoil when the site needs it.

What about rock?

If we hit rock, we'll stop, show you and talk through options like a hammer attachment before going further.
