Since the first cold night

A proper local.

A pint of golden ale with a thick head

Cask ales kept the old way, a kitchen that cooks from scratch, and a fire that's lit from the first cold night to the last.

The Copperline is a corner pub with a long carved bar, a snug with a door that actually closes, and a back room for when the whole family turns up. Regulars have their stools; newcomers get the same welcome and usually a recommendation from whoever is sitting next to them.

Food is honest and generous: beer-battered fish, pies with real pastry lids, and a Sunday roast that has ruined Sunday afternoons for generations. Dogs are welcome in the front bar. Phones are tolerated.

Six pulls, kept properly.

Cask ale is alive, and it's only as good as the cellar it lives in. Ours is cool, clean and checked every morning. Hover a pump clip to pull a pint.
